Professor Inducted into Minnesota Aviation Hall of Fame

george_bolon.jpg George Bolon, a Winona State University professor and founder of the WSU Airway Science Program, was inducted into the Minnesota Aviation Hall of Fame May 2.

Bolon learned to fly in the 1960s in the U.S. Army. He served with the North American Air Defense Command and the 104th Division. In addition to teaching classes in the WSU aviation program, Bolon serves as chief pilot for Win Air FBO.

Bolon also serves as a consultant in aviation litigation and speaks at Federal Aviation Administration and Minnesota Department of Transportation programs.

Bolon has worked at WSU since 1968.
