WSU Library Adjusts Community Patron Policies

Story by: WSU Office of University Communication

Krueger Winona State University's Darrell W. Krueger Library announces adjustments to its Community Patron Computer Usage Policy.

Beginning Monday, March 24, community patrons will be required to register to utilize online services offered by the Darrell W. Krueger Library.

Registration grants the general public access to information resources that comply with the educational, research and service mission of WSU.

To register, patrons must fill out a usage form and present a valid government issued photo ID. Patrons will then be given a library card with computer access identification. To be granted an access code, users must be at least 16 years of age. Minors, ages 16-17, must have a parent or legal guardian present to co-sign the usage form.

Additionally, community patrons are now limited to a maximum of two hours per day on the library's computers.

As a Federal Depository Library, the library continues to provide free access for the general public to the U.S. government publications collection, including through electronic resources.

Community patrons wishing to register may do so now at the Darrell W. Krueger Library.

For more information call Larry Hardesty, Interim Dean of Library and Information Services, at (507) 457-5151.
