The Winona State University Men's Basketball team beat Augusta State in the NCAA Division II Championship Game March 29, capping off their third consecutive visit to the Championship Game with a second national title.

The Warriors (38-1) came back from a 12-point deficit at half-time to beat Augusta State 87-76. Senior Jonte Flowers, named the 2008 NCAA Division II Elite Eight Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, scored 25 of his 30 points during the second half.

WSU was well-represented by the team, coaches and many dedicated fans who made the trip to Springfield to cheer on the Warriors.
