Winona State University announces Tim Pawlenty, Governor of the State of Minnesota, has declared April 8 “Winona State University Men’s Basketball Team Day.”

Pawlenty said, “The success of the Winona State Men’s Basketball Team has brought national recognition and prominence to Winona State University, the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, and the State of Minnesota.”

The official proclamation was read at WSU’s Basketball Victory Rally April 8, held in honor of the team’s victory at the NCAA Division II National Championship.
