The CNS Post-Nursing Master’s CNS Program
provides content and
clinical
experiences that meet criteria for the American NursesCredentialing
Center (ANCC) Medical-Surgical CNS Certification Examination. This certification
meets criteria to practice in Minnesota as a CNS according to the MN
Nurse Practice Act. The program also offers opportunity for CNSs interested
in prescriptive privileges.
Students can opt to earn a Post-Nursing
Master’s Certificate by completing at least 10 semester credits or can
design an individualized program to meet their professional needs. Students
desiring prescriptive privileges will be individually evaluated in terms
of the courses they will need to meet the MN Board of Nursing criteria
for prescribing.
