ACCREDITATION AND APPROVAL

The undergraduate nursing program is approved by the Minnesota Board of Nursing. Graduates are eligible to write the professional nurse licensure examination (NCLEX) and to apply for Public Health Nursing Certification. A student may be eligible to apply for school nursing certification by taking specified electives required by the State Department of Education. Graduates are capable of giving professional nursing care in first-level nursing positions and have a base for graduate study.

The most recent evaluation and re-accreditation was in 1998, and is effective for 10 years.
