In early 2005, Winona State and Winona Health benefited with a $216,965 Minnesota Job Skills Partnership grant to develop and deliver a “Lean in Healthcare” training program for 875 employees of Winona Health. |

This 3-year grant program will:
- Assist in Winona Heath, which is at the cutting edge of health care information integrated technology, towards becoming a "Lean-er" organization
- Promote employee understanding of lean improvement techniques and improved data/communication usage of the EMR (Electronic Medical Record), and
- Strengthen the partnership between Winona Health and Winona State University
Local area health care facilities that have benefited from our curriculum include Winona Health, Mayo Clinic, Gundersen Lutheran, and Franciscan Skemp to name a few.
