Specific Social and Political Science Career Resources
The Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM) maintains a website that includes a Job Bank for those seeking a career in the field of public policy analysis and management.(link to the above website updated on April 7' 03)
H-Net's Job Guide is a guide for those seeking positions in the humanities, history, and the social sciences, including political science. The Guide is published weekly.
The Federal Job Finder is a service provided by the Washington Post, with links to current openings in all areas of the federal government, including the military and the Corporation for National Service.
The National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA) maintains a website that has links to other major sites with job, internship, and graduate school infromation.

General Career Resources
The Washington Post has a website pertaining to government jobs, internships, and career preparation.
The Riley Guide was the first list of employment opportunities and job resources on the internet. It was created by a librarian, and while it doesn't list any jobs itself, it points to all the major internet resources that do.
CareerBuilder is a full-service, free website with excellent information on how to hunt for a job. It also provides a large database of jobs, and includes the capability to search by job specifications and titles.
The Monster Board is another full-service comprehensive website that includes job postings from around the world, and advice for job seekers on how to effectively search for and land a job.
What Color is Your Parachute is a guide with information on where to find jobs, how to create a resume, how to network, and how to do research on specific careers. It is hosted by the Washington Post.
