President Ramaley Serves as Keynote Speaker at Health Care Conference

Winona State University President Judith Ramaley serves as a keynote speaker at the “Lean Health Care Conference” July 24-25, at the Kahler Grand Hotel in Rochester, Minn. 

Lean stands for Leadership-Eliminate Waste-Act Now-Never Ending. It is grounded in the Toyota Production System of quality improvement. The conference is an opportunity to network with healthcare professionals who have implemented or are considering implementing LEAN into their hospital, long-term care facility, clinic or private practice.

On Tuesday, July 24, Dr. Ramaley will speak on “Change Management” during a session focused on “Lean Strategy” at a system level.

Dr. Ramaley has a special interest in higher-education reform and has played a significant role in designing regional alliances to promote educational cooperation. She also has contributed to national discussions about the changing nature of work and the workforce.

Dr. Ramaley plays a national role in the exploration of civic responsibility and the role of higher education in promoting good citizenship and has published extensively on educational reform, science, technology, engineering and mathematics education and the leadership of organizational change.

The conference is sponsored by WSU's Outreach and Continuing Education and the Center for Integrated Health Science Education and Practice (CIHSEP).
