Quick Facts about Winona State Founded: 1858, first "normal school" (teacher training) west of the Mississippi River, 14th teachers’ college in the nation
Structure: Five Colleges: College of Business, College of Education, College of Liberal Arts, College of Nursing and Health Sciences, College of Science and Engineering; 38 Academic Departments.
