Civic Action House Interest Community

Civic action is an integral part of “Improving our World” as stated in the WSU mission statement.  Students in the Civic Action House Community will learn how to communicate and collaborate across differences in many spears of civic life.  Students explore the tools to empower themselves and others, mobilize groups to achieve their goals and how to best make a difference.

What you will do: You will be introduced to the American Democracy Project and learn to facilitate discussion around issues affecting our society.  You will learn not only to be concerned about issues, but know what to do and how to organize others around pressing societal issues.

Where you will live: All members of the Civic Action House Interest Community live in Vela House, which is located on the third and fourth floors of Lourdes Hall.

How to apply: Print and fill out the application and send it in by May 1, 2013.
