WSU-Rochester Center offers both the Master of Science degree (M.S.) and the Specialist degree (Ed.S.) in Educational Leadership through the College of Education at WSU.

Master’s Degree (M.S.)

• Completion of the Master's degree can lead to certification as a principal in most states (except Minnesota) and as a superintendent in many.
• Coursework is required in three areas:
  1. Educational Leadership major - 15 credits
  2. Area of specialization - 3-12 credits (Teacher Leadership, Elementary Leadership, Secondary Leadership)
  3. Electives - 6-15 credits

   

Total minimum program credits beyond the Bachelor's degree (sem.cr.)             = 33

Additional Information

• Program courses are offered on weekday evenings, Saturdays and daily during summer sessions.
• All coursework for the Master's degree and the Specialist degree is offered via interactive television to and from the University Center Rochester.
