Complete Requirements for a Master of Science in Education
The Graduate Induction Program is a partnership between Winona State University and the Rochester Public School District. The program is designed to assist inexperienced teachers with challenges unique to entry into the field of education. This full-time clinical experience integrates theory and practice through graduate education and clinical supervision by veteran master teachers from the Rochester School District.
Application Procedures and Requirements
- Complete undergraduate degree from an accredited institution prior to beginning graduate classes in June.
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75, with preference given to those with a 3.00 GPA.
- Be eligible for appropriate Minnesota elementary teaching license.
- Provide: (April Deadline)
a. Official transcripts
b. Completed placement file
c. Letter of application
d. Completed application form
e. Two GIP recommendation forms
f. A resume
- Be available for Summer Session immediately preceding and following the year-long practicum.
- Once selected as a resident, formally apply for admission to Winona State University graduate study and pay application fee.
