Health Services

WSU Rochester Center students in need of health services can utilize the RCTC Health Services office on the UCR campus. The Health Services office is located on the Third Floor, next to Cafeteria, Room EA301. Click here for campus map

Appointments are required for physician visits. Walk-ins are welcome for registered nurse visits, but appointments are encouraged.

The staff of the RCTC Student Health Service supports, encourages, teaches, counsels and treats student in a college setting. Their goal is to help students meet their unique health care needs through a varity of health care and health education services.

All information and health-related issues discussed with any of the Student Health Service staff is considered confidential. No information is released from this office without the student's permission.

First Aid/Illness Care

A registered nurse is available daily to assist with assessment, first aid and short-term care for accidents and illnesses. A physician or nurse practitioner is also available at scheduled times for further diagnosis, treatment and referral for illnesses and injuries.

Laboratory facilities allow for diagnosis of conditions such as strep throat, pregnancy and simple urinary tract infections. Referrals to outside laboratories and clinic facilities are utilized as needed.

Over the counter medications for temporary relief of symptoms caused by minor illnesses are available.

Health Screenings

The Student Health Service assists students in obtaining accurate information through the use of a variety of health education tools, pamphlets and referral sources. The registered nurse works with studenst to help identify individual health concerns and potential health risks. Assistance in arranging for appropriate care or service is provided as needed.

Fees

There is no charge to see the registered nurse of the physician. A minimal fee may be charged for certain services or supplies.

Temporary Parking Permits

Permits are available to students with limited mobility due to a health condition or injury.
