Interactive Television

Winona State University-Rochester offers many classes to students via Interactive Television (ITV). ITV entails two-way audio-visual communication between an instructor at one site and students at one or more sites who can interact with each other in "real time."

Using ITV, Rochester-based students can take advantage of course offerings in Winona and vice-versa. This method of long-distance connectivity allows students to participate in educational opportunities that they normally would not have had access to.

ITV course materials are transported daily via currier and are coordinated through WSU Technical Support personnel in AT308. ITV facilities at UCR are also available for groups and individuals from outside the campus. Satellite downlinks and program taping are also available for groups and individuals from outside the campus. Satellite downlinks and program taping are also available.
