Transfer Student Workshop Tentative ScheduleWednesday, August 219:00am: Transfer Student Workshop check-in (East Hall-Upper Level Kryzsko Commons) 9:30am: Welcome, continental breakfast and workshop kick-off (East Hall-Kryzsko Commons) 11:00am: Official WSU Welcome and picnic lunch (McCown Gymnasium-Memorial Hall) 1:00pm: Student 2 Work Workshop: Finding a job on campus and registering with Career Services (East Hall-Kryzsko Commons) 1:45pm: Intro to the Darrell W. Krueger Library: Learn how to access the online databases as well as important facts and tips about using WSU's library 2:15pm: Campus Tour: Learn how to find the important spots on campus that are pertinent to your success 5:30pm: Transfer Student Social-Relax with some pizza and lawn games and just have fun! (Science Lab Center Atrium) 7:30 & 9:30pm: Comedy show Thursday, August 229:00am: Financial Aid Refresher: An opportunity to revisit the financial aid process, deadlines, and procedures and to ask questions (East Hall-Kryzsko Commons) 9:45am: Academic & Tutoring Services: A discussion of all the academic and tutoring services available on campus 10:45am: Transfer Student Q&A Panel: Ask current transfer students about their experiences and learn what to do and not to do 12:00pm: Lunch (Science Lab Center Atrium) Throughout the afternoon: Meeting with faculty from your intended majors/programs 3:00pm: Explore the Mississippi River Backwaters--Our Outdoor Recreation Program will lead transfer students on a canoeing/kayaking journey through the Mississippi River backwaters-just minutes from campus! Other outdoor adventures are planned as well. (Limited to the first 60 students-please indicate on your online registration if you would like to participate.) 3:00pm: Other Optional Activities
