Student Leadership & Involvement Awards
The WSU Alliance of Student Organizations and Warriors L.E.A.D. invites the WSU community to nominate students, WSU faculty/staff club/organization advisors, and recognized student clubs and organizations for a variety of awards. We invite you to acknowledge the outstanding work and contributions they have made in 2021-2022 to improve our campus, community and our world.
Nomination forms are linked below and are due by Friday, March 17.
We will honor all award recipients and nominees in a campus ceremony on Monday, April 24 at 3:30pm in the Kryzsko Commons Ballroom.
Individual Awards
A Leader Improving Our World
Presented to a student who actively celebrates the mission of WSU to serve generously, lead responsibly and respond imaginatively and creatively to the challenges of their work, their lives and their communities…a community of learners improving our world.

Warrior Spirit
Presented to a student who is willing to step up and take risks for the betterment of the WSU community by striving to make positive changes for the campus.

Rising Star
Presented to a student who is new to WSU (either a first-year student or a transfer student in their first year) who shows active involvement in an organized campus activity and is helping to make a difference on campus or in the club/organization/activity.

Recognized Student Club/Organization Awards
Outstanding Student Leader
Presented to a leader within a recognized club/organization at WSU who exemplifies excellence in their organization and works toward the benefit of others.

Outstanding Club/Organization Advisor
Presented to a faculty/staff advisor of a recognized club or organization at WSU who has gone above and beyond in working with members, promoting the organization, serving as a mentor, and making a difference.

Presented to an active recognized student club/organization who represents the mission of WSU to serve generously, lead responsibly and respond imaginatively and creatively to the challenges of their work, their lives and their communities…a community of learners improving our world.

Program/Event Awards
Community Engagement Program/Event Award
Presented to any group of students who planned and executed a single or series of programs/events/initiatives to benefit the community through volunteer service, fundraising, and/or community-building that provided a sense of fulfillment and a learning opportunity for its members.

Social Program/Event Award
Presented to any group of students who planned and executed a single or series of programs/events/initiatives that provided a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for its members and/or the campus community.
