Emergency ManagementEmergency Response ChartEMERGENCY MANAGEMENT - INTRODUCTION Winona State University (WSU) is committed to creating a safe and secure environment for all students, faculty and staff. The WSU Emergency Procedures have been developed to assist the University in meeting this goal. All employees and students are encouraged to regularly review the information provided in the Preparedness Chart and become familiar with suggested recommendations concerning disasters or emergencies that may impact the WSU community. These procedures were developed to minimize the negative effects resulting from an emergency. Please read this guide thoroughly and become acquainted with its contents. Keep this chart in a visible and accessible place in your office or classroom for immediate reference. Once you are familiar with the enclosed information, you will be better prepared to protect yourself and your co-workers. In today’s society, we must be more vigilant of surrounding influences that can affect the safety of our community. Medical emergencies, disasters, accidents, injuries and crime can occur at any time without warning. It is our goal that by working together we can be pro-active and maximize our resources in responding to emergencies in a timely manner.
