Message From the Director

Winona State University Security is charged with the responsibility of protecting life and property in a manner that will provide the safest possible learning environment for those we serve. This service is rendered with creativity, compassion, and competence through the understanding of the needs, values and goals of our community. All members of Winona State University Security commit themselves to putting forth their best efforts to continually expand their knowledge and abilities in order to enhance departmental professionalism, and thus the quality of life, study and work for the academic community of Winona State University.

The Director of Security is a 25 year law enforcement veteran and has supervised the administrative, investigative, and patrol divisions of the Winona Police Department. He is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigations National Academy, Winona State University and numerous law enforcement schools.
