Winona State University Security
Winona State University Security is responsible for the physical security of all Residence Halls and academic buildings throughout the University. Campus Security employs approximately 50 students to perform security related duties. Security personnel provide 24 hour coverage of the campus throughout the year. Security personnel attend required training during the school year that includes crime prevention, crime scene preservation, self-defense, first aid & CPR, conflict resolution, and much more.
COMMUNICATIONS CENTER
Campus Security is housed on the main floor of Sheehan Hall. Communications personnel are responsible for receiving & dispatching calls, monitoring surveillance cameras, distribution of crime prevention materials, and assisting the campus community with their requests.
RESIDENCE HALL SECURITY
Members of Winona State University Security provide on-site security in all Residence Halls during specified periods of time. Their primary responsibility involves monitoring the entering and exiting of hall residents, and their guests.
