We are pleased to present the Online Winona State University Social Work Department Field Orientation and Training for your information and review.

    This Online Orientation and Training Site includes the following information:

  1. Developing an Internship at Your Agency – a power point presentation that provides highlight information on our internship programs
  2. Field and Practicum Guidelines – a power point presentation that provides information on the expectations of the Social Work Department, the Student, and the Agency Field Supervisor
  3. Social Work Department Manuals
    1. Student Handbook – outlining the requirements for all social work majors
    2. Field Experience Manual – outlining the requirements for the “pre-skills” level 120 hour internship
    3. Practicum Manual – outlining the requirements for the “senior” level 480 hour internship
  4. IRB Process – a power presentation from the WSU Institutional Review Board (IRB) on the requirements for student “human subjects” research (required for all Practicum Level Students)
  5. A Sample Learning Agreement – all Practicum Students must complete a learning agreement
