Social Work Research Institute

The WSU Social Work Research Institute (SWRI) facilitates research at the Department of Social Work by providing students and faculty with an environment and administrative infrastructure encouraging rigorous social and behavioral research. The mission of SWRI is to offer expertise in research methodology, foster research that advances social work practice and policy, and enhance multidisciplinary collaboration and partnership with community service providers.

Technical Assistance
SWRI provides written technical assistance on research and publication (e.g., journal article search, manuscript preparation, professional/research writing styles, IRB protocol, etc.). Training or presentation are also provided upon request by instructors.
 
Research Consultation
SWRI offers research consultation services and statistical assistance (e.g., research methodology, statistical software programs, data analysis and interpretation, etc.). Group or individual consultation are provided by appointment.
 
Publication
SWRI publishes working papers completed by students and faculty (e.g., annual practicum student research collection, working paper series, etc.). Working papers are published online via SWRI’s website or in print.
