STRESS-RESISTANT PERSONALITIES
Regardless of the
amount of stress that you face at school, a very useful line of research on
so-called "hardy personalities" has described the attributes of self which have
been shown to be more associated with resistance to the inevitable stresses
of the workplace. Suzanne Kobasa and her colleagues (1985) have looked into
the attributes of those persons who seem to cope very well at work, even if
the stress levels there are quite high. Click on each of the following to find
out more about the three key stress-resistant attributes.
