Pay Rate and Pay Stubs
Pay RateStudent employees earn the minimum wage set by Winona State University. The current minimum wage is $8.40 per hour. If you have questions, you may discuss your rate of pay with your supervisor at the time you are hired. There are many positions on campus that pay a higher rate of pay based on the specific nature of the work or special skills or abilities that are required for the position.
If you are on work-study and receiving a higher rate of pay, please note that your hours will be paid at the minimum rate of pay from the work-study program. The difference in pay between your higher rate and minimum wage will be paid to you in the form of a lump sum payment. For example, if you are a work-study employee, and you work 20 hours and earning $10.00 per hour, your pay stub will reflect the following:
