Welcome to Winona State University's Student Senate Student Activites Fund Committee Page. Check out the information posted here and feel free to attend a Senate meeting on Wednesday each week starting at 4pm in the Purple Rooms. We hope the site is helpful and don’t hesitate to get in contact with us.
The SAFC (Student Activities Fund Committee) is defined as a committee that controls and disperses the student activity funds to campus clubs and organizations for their various activities and events. The financial dispersement is done in the form of an annual budget allocation, and also through special requests throughout the year. Before a club or organization's budget or special request money is given, it must also be approved by the entire Student Senate body.
Clubs and organizations come to the SAFC to present their financial needs. The committee does its best to aid them so that they can accomplish their goals and objectives. The Student Senate Treasurer is usually the Chair of this committee, and also works closely with the university comptroller (Chief Financial Officer) to allocate funding to appropriate areas of student interest throughout Winona State.
