Students can enroll in one or more semesters to study Japanese language (no previous language study required), Japan Studies, Global Business and Global Studies courses.

Classes at AIU correspond directly with Global Studies Classes at WSU.

Japanese Language

AUI offers Japanese courses at all levels to meet the individual students' language learning needs.  The language course are divided into 4 levels:

  • Elementary
  • Intermediate
  • High-Intermediate

Japan Studies

AIU offers students the opportunities to study alongside Japanese students in a wide selection of courses to gain understanding of Japan.  These courses will not be offered every semester, depending on the number of students enrolled.  Sample courses include:

Global Business

AIU models its Global Business Program after top business schools and have faculty from all over the world.  Sample classes include:

Global Studies

The Global Studies Program has as its main theme the globalization of the world.  The curriculum of the Global Studies Program gives priority in the education of students to the development of an understanding of the methods of inquiry appropriate for such an interdisciplinary subject.  Students learn about the diverse forms of globalization manifest in politics, law, social organization, economics, culutre and the media.
