In addition to completing the WSU General Study Abroad Application, students wishing to study in Cuernavaca are required to complete the following online application.

All letters must have original signatures; scanned or electronical signatures are not acceptable.

This FM3 Visa is free of charge.

Two applications must be completed, either typed or clearly printed [Download]

Valid passport, with a photocopy of the page with the bearer’s personal data, picture and signature. The passport should have at least one full unused visa page.

Original letter of acceptance from the School or University. The School must be authorized by the Ministry of the Interior (Gobernación) to receive foreign students. The letter should be recent and state the semesters or academic years of study and the name of the program that the applicant is going to enroll in.

Letter from the local Police Department stating that the applicant has no record. This letter must be duly notarized.

Letter of financial solvency issued by a bank typed on the bank’s stationery, duly notarized, stating that the applicant will receive the amount of at least $300.00 US dollars, monthly, aside from tuition. If dependant members of his/her family are accompanying him/her, the same amount is required per person.

Seven front view pictures and six COMPLETE RIGHT SIDE PROFILE, regular passport size and in color with white background are required, (photo machine, digital prints or ¾ right side profile pictures, are not accepted).

Five working days are needed to issue the visa and should be taken into consideration when planning his/her trip.

Some nationalities are required to obtain previous approval from the Mexican Immigration Authority, regardless of their migratory status in the United States. This process takes four to eight weeks. Unfortunately, the consulate can not do anything to expedite the procedure.

IF THE APPLICATION DOES NOT COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS, IT WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.
