Course Summary
Making Connections: From Winona to San Juan, Argentina (GS350 OR SPAN304). This trip will include a variety of options for participants to learn about Argentine culture and the language. Each participant will work with the lead instructor to design an individualized course of study/ project that will fulfill the student’s goals and the requirements of the course for which he/she is seeking credit. Students can serve in the local schools of San Juan, Argentina, as teaching assistants. They will have the opportunity to lead lessons in English language, American culture, and/or technology, as their interests and the needs of the school dictate. In addition to their time in the classroom, students may execute a service project in the school or community. There is also the opportunity to take full or half- day intensive Spanish immersion classes at the National University of San Juan (UNSJ).
Important Dates
A mandatory pre-departure meeting will be held on May 7, 2012.
Travel Dates will be May 10-25, 2012.

Tour of San Juan and visit to INTA
Overnight trip to Ischigualasto Provincial Park (Valle de la Luna/ Valley of the Moon- a UNESCO World Heritage Site)
Tour of cultural and historical sites of Buenos Aires
