Course Summary

The travel study course Travel Writing and the British Imagination (ENG 327) is constructed to expose students to the unique historical and cultural influences that comprise the identity, tropes, and genres of the British imagination through the genre of travel writing. The experiential learning implicit in working with British artists and community leaders necessitates students evaluating how the identity of the British imagination in the arts and culture survives yet in 21st century London.

Important Dates

Pre-departure meeting dates will be held July 9-12 and 15-18, and a post-trip meeting will be held August 19.

Travel dates will be July 23 - August 12.
