Course Summary
Survival in Tokyo: Japanese Language & Culture in Tokyo (GS315) is a Global Studies & World Language course, led by Professor Matthew C. Strecher. This course is designed for students who have already been introduced to the basics of Japanese language, and are ready to put what they have learned to practice in the streets, shops, classrooms, and subways of Tokyo. This travel study is intended to give students a close-up, hands-on look at aspects of Japanese culture and society that most people can only read about in guidebooks.
