Rita Rahoi-Gilchrest, Communication Studies, presented an invited seminar over winter break to the Management Studies Department at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand.  The presentation detailed current research in social marketing and offered suggestions for new collaborative social marketing campaigns within and outside the South Island area.
 

Michael Fahy, English, wrote a short story entitled, “If ye go to bed with a wet head…ye’ll wake up blind.” The story is the 2004 Short Fiction Prize winner in New York Stories. New York Stories is a nationally distributed literary magazine founded in 1998 and housed in LaGuardia Community College, CUNY. New York Stories publishes contemporary short fiction essays about New York city and interviews with established writers and film directors. Mr. Fahy’s winning story is scheduled for publication in the Summer 2005 edition.
