| John Vivian, Mass Communication, received word that his textbook, co-authored with Alfred Lorenz of Loyola-New Orleans, News: Reporting and Writing, will be translated by Pearson Education into Hindi for use in more universities in India. The book, first published by Allyn & Bacon in 1996, is widely used in the United States and Canada. Another Vivian book, The Media of Mass Communication, is also being translated into Chinese. MMC is in its seventh U.S. and third Canadian editions. |

| Nancy Kay Peterson, Director of Grants and Sponsored Projects, published four poems in the March issue of the online literary magazine Polyphony (www.geocities.com/polyphonymag). The poems are part of a larger series telling the story of her great-great uncle, Arne Kulterstad, an exile from Norway. |
