Sandra Bennett, English, has had a poem, "Suddenly Snow" accepted for publication in the 2004 "Living With Nature" collection published in La Crosse.

Kathryn Sullivan, Library, John Stafford, e-Learning, and Cindy Badilla-Melendez had a paper published in Information Technologies and Libraries, vol. 23, no. 2 (June 2004).  The article is entitled "Digital Music Project at Winona State University Library."

Matt Lindaman, History, has an article, entitled, "Heimat in the Heartland: the Significance of an Ethnic Newspaper" that appears in the spring issue of the Journal of American Ethnic History.  Another article on his Great War memorial project will appear  in a forthcoming issue of the Journal of Illinois History; it is titled "That Our Youth May Have Strength in Spirit, Mind, and Body: the Conception and Construction of Illinois Memorial Stadium."

Ted Wilson, Biology, presented a poster, entitled, "Impact of Beverage Consumption on Human History and Culture" at the Experimental Biology 2004 conference in Washington D.C., in April 2004.  The poster was based on one of his chapters in his book Beverages in Nutrition and Health (edited by T. Wilson and N.J. Temple), which was recently published by Humana Press Inc. (November 2003).

 

Kathryn Sullivan, Library, has won the 2003 Dream Realm award for Best Anthology for her book, Agents & Adepts.  The awards ceremony took place Saturday, August 14, at ArmadilloCon 26 in Austin, Texas.
