National Broadcasting Society Receives Awards

 

The Winona State University National Broadcasting Society received several awards at the national convention.

 

There were four categories that the chapter has won first place in for two years in a row.  For competition awards, Afsina Yildiz received first place for her dramatic script, “A Street Named Desire.”  Michael Williams received first place for his submission of the chapter website.

 

For society awards, chapter advisor, Ajit Daniel, received the District Director of the Year award and Andréa Bowe received the Public Information Officer of the Year award.    

 

Other awards won by members were first place for Scriptwriting: Video Instructional/Promotional Program for Lacy Buck’s script, “How to Toilet Train Your Cat.”  Afsina Yildiz received another first place award for her Audio Drama Program, “March of Time.”

 

Landon Evanson received first runner-up for an interview and Lacy Buck received first runner-up for another script as well.
