Spring is finally here, and there is no better time of year to get outside and give back to the community.
Winona State, along with St. Mary’s University and Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical, will host the second annual “Spruce Up Winona” today.
The festivities kick off at 1 p.m. and wrap up at 5 p.m.
There will be two shifts: one from 1 to 3 p.m. and another from 3 to 5 p.m.
There will be food and soda at the Jaycee Pavilion from 3 to 5:30 p.m. for all volunteers.
Everyone is encouraged to get involved; this is a great team building activity for clubs and groups of friends.
Individual as well as group participation is welcome.
Last year, 400 of the 550 participants were from Winona State University.
It would be great to have an even better turnout this year. Participants should wear purple to show Winona State pride.
