Moving Ahead to Financial Freedom (a Winona community initiative) is sponsoring its next session on ways to get ahead financially.
Moving Ahead to Financial Freedom is comprised of representatives from the community, Habitat for Humanity, Hiawatha Valley Education District, Merchants Bank, Semcac, United Way, Winona National Bank, Winona State University, Winona Volunteer Services, and Winona Workforce Center.
Ellen Zempel and Jean Abels from the Winona Workforce Center will present information about the difference between online and a regular resume, formatting techniques, and posting an effective resume online. They will also show people how to register for MinnesotaWorks.net and how to search for work online. Please bring your resume on a disk or flash drive. If you don’t have an electronic resume, call the Workforce Center before May 5 to schedule an appointment to create one.
This free session will be held 5:30-7:30 p.m., Monday, May 12 at the Winona Workforce Center, 1250 Homer Road, Suite 200, Winona.
To register, or for more information, call Winona Volunteer Services at 507-452-5591 by May 9.
