Winona State University astronomy professor Jennifer Anderson hosts a viewing of a total lunar eclipse from 8 to 10 p.m. today at the WSU Alumni Campus Gazebo.
Anderson invites Winona State students and the Winona community to observe the astronomical event.
A number of telescopes are provided and viewers are encouraged to bring binoculars.
Those attending are encouraged to dress warmly and bring a hot beverage.
The eclipse starts at 8 p.m. and totality lasts from 9 to 9:50 p.m.
This is the last eclipse of the moon until December 2010.
This event is weather dependent and will run even if the skies are somewhat cloudy or as long as the moon can be seen.
