WSU hosts local activist Jim Morse

In honor of Women’s History Month 2008, Winona State University’s Women’s and Gender Studies department hosts a brown-bag discussion with Joseph Morse Thursday, March 20, at noon in Dining Rooms C and D in WSU’s Kryzsko Commons.
Morse, a local leader in the fight toward ending sexual and domestic violence against women and the founder of the Winona Beyond Tough Guise Project, hopes to gather support from the WSU student population to create an all-male organization to educate Winona middle and high school students.
Morse started the Beyond Tough Guise Project in 2003 to fight against the stagnant sexual and domestic assault statistics in Winona. The Beyond Tough Guise Project works in conjunction with the Women’s Resource Center and focuses on preventing assault.
