WAGS Debuts Student Club SpaceThe Winona State University Women’s and Gender Studies department debuts its student club space Friday, Jan. 18, from 5-7 p.m. in Wabasha Hall, Room 317.
This space is home to Women’s Initiative for Learning and Leadership (WILL), Fighting for our Rights and Gender Equality (FORGE), Do it Yo’Self (DIY), Books for Feminists (BFF) and Nursing Students for Choice (NSFC).
This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments are served.

FORGE Honored by Winona Women’s Resource CenterWinona State University student organization Fighting for Our Rights and Gender Equality (FORGE) and student Jenn Branzovsky received awards from the Winona Women’s Resource Center (WRC) Oct. 9, 2007.
The “Creating a Safer Community” group award was presented to FORGE. The award is presented to groups within a community that perform above and beyond ordinary expectations to help the WRC fulfill its mission; to advocate for victims rights, equality, and safety.
Branzovsky received the “Advocate of the Year” award.

FORGE and NSFC Present Check to Women’s Resource CenterWinona State University ’s FORGE and Nursing Students for Choice (NSFC) present a check for $1,100 to the Women’s Resource Center Thursday, May 3, at 12:30 p.m., at the Women’s Resource Center, 77 E. Fifth St.
On April 13, FORGE and NSFC held a benefit concert to raise money for the Women’s Resource Center. The “Rock Against Violence” concert raised $1,100 for the WRC, which was the highest grossing show for FORGE and NSFC.
The clubs have sponsored numerous benefit concerts for a number of causes over the past few years.
