Respondus Lockdown Browser

Respondus® Lockdown Browser (LDB) is a special web browser that students install on their computers and use for the sole purpose of taking selected D2L quizzes and exams. When taking a D2L test via LDB, students are unable to access any other application on their computers until after they submit the test. LDB essentially "locks down" a student's computer for the duration of the online test. Instructors will inform students if they are to use LDB. Not all instructors use this method, but it is fairly common.

Instructions for installing LDB are located on the main homepage of D2L. Login to D2L to review the instructions.
