In 2022\, they were recognized as a “20 Under 20 LGBTQ+ Changemaker” by Teen Vogue and The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD). \n\n\n\nGiiwedin also models in the Native fashion world\, walking in Native Fashion Week in Santa Fe\, New Mexico\, and the first Indigenous New York Fashion Week. \n\n\n\nIn addition to their online work\, Giiwedin advocates for the health of wild rice.
