SUMMARY:Last Day to Apply for an AI Innovation & Engagement Fund
DESCRIPTION:The Artificial Intelligence Innovation & Engagement Fund makes small grants available to Winona State students pursuing extracurricular AI projects that benefit the university\, the Winona community\, and/or personal career development.  \n\n\n\nStudents may apply individually\, as a group\, or as part of a club or organization. This grant opportunity is open to all Winona State students\, regardless of their major. \n\n\n\nFaculty may also apply to support classroom learning that incorporates Artificial Intelligence or to conduct a small research effort involving student researchers. \n\n\n\nGrant amounts are adjustable based on budget and application volume. Last year\, the average grant was $200. \n\n\n\nGrants will be reviewed starting Sept. 21 and then on a rolling basis until all funds are used. \n\n\n\nThese grants are funded by WSU College of Business alumni and faculty. \n\n\n\n    Apply Now\n\n\n\nEligibility Criteria\n\n\n\nTo apply for an AI Innovation & Engagement Fund\, you must: \n\n\n\n\nbe enrolled at Winona State full-time (12+ credits undergraduate\, 8+ credits graduate)\n\n\n\nhave a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5\n\n\n\nhave good academic standing (not on probation)\n\n\n\n\nYou’re allowed one grant per academic year\, and you can reapply in future years.  \n\n\n\nInternational students are also eligible to apply if they meet the above criteria. \n\n\n\nWhat to Expect\n\n\n\nIn addition to completing what you propose\, grant recipients may be invited to share their initial work at a showcase in the Fall 2026 term and their final project at Research & Creative Achievement Day in the Spring 2027 term. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nVenue\n\n\n\n\n\nContact\n\n\n\n\n\nDisclaimer\n\n\n\nThe views and opinions expressed by the speakers and programs hosted at Winona State University do not necessarily reflect the views or positions of the university or of the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities system.
