However, the University&#8217;s investigation and response may be limited if the report does not contain certain details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WSU staff will use the information provided to address the complaint. This can include an investigation and contacting the complainant, respondent, and any potential witnesses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WSU staff treat all information with appropriate discretion for the reported situation. We care about all people and their privacy, and we will keep their information and inquiries confidential whenever possible.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-block accordion\">\n        <div class=\"accordion__item\" data-animation=\"fade-in-up\" data-animate=\"true\">\n        <button id=\"CARE_Intervention_Team\" class=\"accordion__toggle\" title=\"CARE_Intervention_Team\" aria-pressed=\"false\">\n            CARE Intervention Team        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\">\n            <p>If you&#8217;ve noticed a concerning pattern or marked change in a student&#8217;s behavior, submit a confidential <a href=\"https:\/\/cm.maxient.com\/reportingform.php?WinonaStateUniv&amp;layout_id=3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CARE form<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>When a campus community member raises concern about a student&#8217;s behavior or mental health, the CARE Team discuss the student&#8217;s situation and reaches out to the student to offer support and provide appropriate interventions. The CARE Team includes professionals from Student Life, Student Success, Housing, Campus Safety, Health Services, and Counseling Services.<\/p>\n<p>The CARE Team also provides support and guidance for faculty, staff, and administrators when \u201cstudents of concern\u201d emerge in classrooms, residence halls, student activities, performances, and the greater Winona community.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"accordion__item\" data-animation=\"fade-in-up\" data-animate=\"true\">\n        <button id=\"Campus_Security_Authorities_(CSAs)\" class=\"accordion__toggle\" title=\"Campus_Security_Authorities_(CSAs)\" aria-pressed=\"false\">\n            Campus Security Authorities (CSAs)        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\">\n            <p>Use the <a href=\"https:\/\/cm.maxient.com\/reportingform.php?WinonaStateUniv&amp;layout_id=13\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CSA Report Form<\/a> to report <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Clery-Act-Reportable-Crimes.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Clery Act crimes<\/a> (PDF).<\/p>\n<p>This form is intended for Campus Security Authorities (CSAs), but anyone can use this form.<\/p>\n<p>CSAs are responsible for reporting allegations of Clery Act crimes that are reported to them in their capacity as a CSA. They are not responsible for determining whether a crime took place.<\/p>\n<p>Contact the Director of Campus Safety at 507.457.5555 if you are not sure whether you are a CSA. In an emergency, call 911.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"accordion__item\" data-animation=\"fade-in-up\" data-animate=\"true\">\n        <button id=\"Hazing\" class=\"accordion__toggle\" title=\"Hazing\" aria-pressed=\"false\">\n            Hazing        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\">\n            <p>If you think you have been a victim of hazing or know of a person or organization that may be committing any acts described in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/policies-student-conduct\/hazing-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hazing policy<\/a>, use the <a href=\"https:\/\/cm.maxient.com\/reportingform.php?WinonaStateUniv&amp;layout_id=22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hazing Report Form<\/a> to notify the University.<\/p>\n<p>Violations against the WSU Hazing Policy will be processed under the terms and conditions of the WSU Student Conduct Policy and\/or the local law authorities.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"accordion__item\" data-animation=\"fade-in-up\" data-animate=\"true\">\n        <button id=\"Injury_while_on_Campus\" class=\"accordion__toggle\" title=\"Injury_while_on_Campus\" aria-pressed=\"false\">\n            Injury while on Campus        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\">\n            <p>If you are injured while on campus\u2014no matter how minor\u2014please report the incident. By investigating these reports, we can better identify areas of concern and make safety improvements.<\/p>\n<p>If you are an employee, you must report any work-related injury to your supervisor and to the Human Resources Department for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/human-resources\/current-employees\/workplace-wellbeing\/#workers-comp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">workers compensation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Student employees must also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/current-students\/student-employment\/after-work-begins\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report any injuries<\/a> to their supervisors.<\/p>\n<p>If you are not an employee of WSU but are injured while on campus, contact the Legal Affairs office at 507.457.5003.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"accordion__item\" data-animation=\"fade-in-up\" data-animate=\"true\">\n        <button id=\"I_Witness_Report\" class=\"accordion__toggle\" title=\"I_Witness_Report\" aria-pressed=\"false\">\n            I Witness Report        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\">\n            <p>Submit an <a href=\"https:\/\/cm.maxient.com\/reportingform.php?WinonaStateUniv&amp;layout_id=5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">I Witness Report<\/a> if you have information about criminal activity or other concerning incidents or patterns of behavior. You can remain anonymous if you wish.<\/p>\n<p>Keep in mind that if the report is anonymous or lacks necessary detail, this may limit the course of action for WSU staff and law enforcement.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"accordion__item\" data-animation=\"fade-in-up\" data-animate=\"true\">\n        <button id=\"Safety_Concerns\" class=\"accordion__toggle\" title=\"Safety_Concerns\" aria-pressed=\"false\">\n            Safety Concerns        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\">\n            <p>As a member of the WSU community, it is your responsibility to report potential hazards or situations that could adversely affect the health and safety of yourself or others.<\/p>\n<p>You can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/facilities-services\/campus-services-work-orders\/\">submit a Work Order<\/a> directly to Facilities Services to address concerns.<\/p>\n<p>You can also inform your supervisor of the concern or contact the Safety Administrator directly at 507.457.5082 or <a href=\"mailto:safety@winona.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">safety@winona.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"accordion__item\" data-animation=\"fade-in-up\" data-animate=\"true\">\n        <button id=\"Sexual_Violence_and_Misconduct\" class=\"accordion__toggle\" title=\"Sexual_Violence_and_Misconduct\" aria-pressed=\"false\">\n            Sexual Violence &amp; Misconduct        <\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content\">\n            <p>Submit a <a href=\"https:\/\/cm.maxient.com\/reportingform.php?WinonaStateUniv&amp;layout_id=4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sexual Violence and Misconduct Report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>WSU is committed to eliminating sexual violence in all forms.
