Please join our Retiree Center on March 18 for a Pathways to Retirement webinar, “The Importance of Connections in Retirement,” presented by WSU Psychology professor Trisha Karr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recent data shows that approximately one out of 2 adults in this country struggles with loneliness. Changing social activities in the transition to retirement may especially bring new challenges to maintain and develop relationships. In this presentation, we\u2019ll consider strategies to foster healthy social connections to promote quality of life in retirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This free program will be of interest to anyone thinking about retirement or even current retirees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Presenter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Trisha Karr holds a master\u2019s degree in Clinical Psychology and a PhD in Developmental Psychology. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her main area of scholarly interest includes quality of life in aging. Given this interest, she teaches undergraduate-level courses such as Health Psychology and Adult Development & Aging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
