Join us for a public reading by Josina Manu Maltzman from their chapbook essay, “Ride Safe: One dyke’s journey to healing from the West Bank to the West Coast.” Teo Shannon will also be reading from his debut poetry collection, “A Chronology of Blood.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Josina Manu Maltzman<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Josina Manu Maltzman (all pronouns) is a writer, carpenter, and community organizer working for liberation in Palestine since 2000.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Josina’s writings include \u201cRide Safe,\u201d an essay exploring the individual\u2019s role in contributing to community safety, and \u201cProtective Presence in the West Bank,\u201d which was awarded the 2025 Plentitudes Prize in Nonfiction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to their work as a writer, Josina is a core member of Relationships Evolving Possibilities (REP), a community safety project in the Twin Cities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Teo Shannon<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Teo Shannon (he\/him) is a queer, chronically ill Latino poet based in Winona, Minnesota. He holds an MFA from Pacific University in Oregon and a PhD from the University of Nebraska\u2013Lincoln.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teo is the cofounder and co-editor-in-chief of “Cotton Xenomorph,” a journal dedicated to flash fiction, poetry, and visual art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
