WSU\u2019s Mass Communication department has much to offer beyond its engaging courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plenty of opportunities exist for you to get involved in extracurriculars through internships, clubs, a travel program, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Campaigns<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Advertising<\/a> and Public Relations<\/a> majors get intensive hands-on experience creating and pitching a strategic communication campaign for a real-world client through the Campaigns course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a capstone course reserved for students to complete during their final spring semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Internships<\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n\n

Looking for jobs can be intimidating. That\u2019s why the Mass Communication Department recommends all students to complete an internship of their choice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

By doing so, students gain industry experience and expand their network before graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To earn academic credit for an internship, students must complete 120 internships hours, which is equivalent to 3 credits. Most students intern during their final 2 years at WSU. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
