The WSU Ethnic Studies program centers on the contributions and perspectives of various ethnic groups in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through our program, students will examine social identities, political ideologies, and institutions using an intersectional approach. Students also pay special attention to understanding ethnicity, ethnic identities, and concepts of race. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ethnic studies is essential in today\u2019s diverse world, as many careers require the recognition of different perspectives, understanding of power relations, and willingness to create social transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are many majors that an Ethnic Studies minor suits well, including Finance, Nursing, Political Science, Criminal Justice, Education, History, or Communication Studies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
