Engineering (COSE) turned campus into a giant science lab for nearly 500 middle and high schoolers.<\/p>\n<p>Led by COSE faculty, the STEM Day and STEM in the Real World events sparked curiosity and showed how fun and powerful the field can be.<\/p>\n\n   <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div><\/div>\n\n\n    \n<div id=\"\" class=\"panel panel--relative panel--purple\">\n    <div class=\"panel__container\">                    <div class=\"panel__header\">\n                <div class=\"panel__intro\">\n                                    <div id= \"engineering-for-career-opportunities\" class=\"h2\">Engineering for Career Opportunities<\/div>\n                                                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n                <div class=\"panel__main\">\n            \n\n<p>Southeastern Minnesota is a hub of engineering and manufacturing firms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WSU partners with local industry leaders to design engineering programs that provide the necessary skills so that graduates can successfully take on in-demand engineering roles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-block tabs\">\n\n    <div class=\"tabs-nav\">\n        <button class=\"tabs__toggle\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-expanded=\"false\" id=\"tabbed-1\">Composite Materials Engineering<\/button>\n<button class=\"tabs__toggle\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-expanded=\"false\" id=\"tabbed-2\">General Engineering<\/button>\n<button class=\"tabs__toggle\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-expanded=\"false\" id=\"tabbed-3\">Pre-Engineering<\/button>\n    <\/div>\n\n    <div class=\"tabs-content\">\n        <button class=\"tabs__mobile__toggle\">Composite Materials Engineering<\/button>\n<div class=\"tabs__content__item\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><div><p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/academics\/colleges\/science-engineering\/composite-materials-engineering-department\/programs\/\">Composite Materials Engineering program<\/a> is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.<\/p>\n<p>This is the only undergraduate program in the United States that offers a Bachelor of Science degree in composite materials engineering.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<button class=\"tabs__mobile__toggle\">General Engineering<\/button>\n<div class=\"tabs__content__item\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><div><p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/academics\/colleges\/science-engineering\/physics-department\/general-engineering-programs\/\">General Engineering program<\/a> offers a broad experience in engineering with emphasis on two concentrations: Electronics and Industrial Statistics.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<button class=\"tabs__mobile__toggle\">Pre-Engineering<\/button>\n<div class=\"tabs__content__item\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><div><p>Students can take a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winona.edu\/academics\/programs\/pre-engineering\/\">pre-engineering course sequence<\/a> designed to help them transfer to other engineering disciplines.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div><\/div>\n\n\n    \n<div id=\"\" class=\"panel panel--relative panel--white\">\n    <div class=\"panel__container\">                <div class=\"panel__main\">\n            \n\n<div class=\"wsu-block feature-panel feature-panel--reverse\">\n    <div class=\"feature-panel__content\">\n        <div class=\"feature-panel__main\">\n   <div class=\"feature-panel__title h2\">Hands-on Learning <\/div>\n   <div class=\"feature-panel__description\">We prioritize hands-on learning to best prepare you for your future career.\u00a0<\/div>\n   \n\n<p>From our established facilities to the natural resources right in our backyard, there is no shortage of interactive learning environments.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some of the things you may do as a Science &amp;
