Successful proposals will require a significant amount of work and oversight. The Grants Handbook<\/a> (PDF) provides more detail and responsibilities included in managing a grant through WSU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The post-award process will include some, if not all, of the following steps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Award Notification<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Notification of award will be in the form of a great, contract or cooperative agreement that provides details about all stakeholders and the award. <\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

Contracts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Contracts<\/a> will be prepared and negotiated by Grants & Sponsored Projects and Finance & Administration. <\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

Financial Management <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Activities and fiscal management of the project must comply with the sponsor\u2019s and\u00a0WSU policies<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Purchase of goods and services must also comply with WSU policies and the sponsor\u2019s regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Refer to the Grants Handbook for a table of allowable costs for federally funded projects. Follow\u00a0WSU and state travel processes<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

Personnel Management <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hiring, payroll activities, and supervision of project must comply with WSU supervisory policies<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

Property Management<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ownership of property purchased with grant funds may vary depending on sponsor policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Work with Finance and Administration<\/a> on management, inventory, tagging, and audit of property purchased using grant funds.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

Project Reporting <\/h2>\n\n\n\n
