Elementary Education Learning Outcomes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Early Childhood Education (Birth\u2013Grade 3) Bachelor&#8217;s Degree<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students in this program will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>complete all program coursework to gain the content knowledge and pedagogical skills necessary to apply for the Early Childhood Education License in Minnesota.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>demonstrate developmentally appropriate knowledge and practice while teaching preschoolers as demonstrated by the ECEO 416 final evaluation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>demonstrate pedagogical content when planning, teaching, and reflecting on content lessons taught to primary aged children in a classroom setting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>assess, analyze, and create literacy learning lesson plans for focus elementary students in the regular classroom as demonstrated by the Case Study Analysis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>engage in purposeful professional field experiences using observation, teaching lessons, and reflecting on field experiences throughout the program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Early Childhood Elementary Education (Birth\u2013Grade 6) Bachelor&#8217;s Degree<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students in this program will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>meet the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revisor.mn.gov\/rules\/8710.3200\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Minnesota Teachers of Elementary Education standards<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revisor.mn.gov\/rules\/8710.3000\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Minnesota Teachers of Early Childhood standards<\/a>, and the Minnesota Standards of Effective Practice, therefore becoming eligible for the Minnesota Elementary Education and Minnesota Early Childhood teaching licenses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>demonstrate a thorough understanding of core subjects taught in birth through grade 6 classrooms, and develop effective teaching strategies and classroom management techniques that promote active learning and student engagement. Students will also incorporate technology to enhance instructional practices and support diverse learning needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>design, implement, and interpret various assessment tools used in early childhood and elementary settings to evaluate student learning, engage in reflective practices to continuously improve their teaching effectiveness, and adapt to changing educational environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>gain hands-on experience through field placements. Students will demonstrate professional behavior, including ethical practices, collaboration with colleagues, and on-going professional development in real-world classroom settings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Education Studies (Non-Licensure) Bachelor&#8217;s Degree<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students in this program will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>complete all program coursework to gain the content knowledge and pedagogical skills necessary to their previous major (teacher preparation).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>demonstrate knowledge on potential career opportunities outside of teaching based on individualized interests.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>reflect on pedagogical content use when working with children in settings other than a classroom.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>assess, analyze, and create personal and professional goals for future employment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Elementary Education Programs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These learning outcomes apply to the Elementary Education (K\u20136) bachelor&#8217;s degree. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These learning outcomes also apply to the Communication &amp; Literature (Middle Level Teaching), Math (Middle Level Teaching), Science (Middle Level Teaching), and Social Studies (Middle Level Teaching) minors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students in these programs will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>meet the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revisor.mn.gov\/rules\/8710.3200\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Minnesota Teachers of Elementary Education standards<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revisor.mn.gov\/rules\/8710.2000\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Minnesota Standards of Effective Practice<\/a>, therefore becoming eligible for a Minnesota Elementary Education teaching license.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>demonstrate a thorough understanding of core subjects taught in kindergarten through grade 6, and develop effective teaching strategies and classroom management techniques that promote active learning and student engagement. and Developmental Disabilities (Teaching) Bachelor&#8217;s Degrees<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students in these programs will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>demonstrate knowledge of disability categories, including learning disabilities, developmental disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and autism spectrum
